The Spacious Heart of Equanimity

The quality of equanimity is the great balancer to the heartwarming practices of loving kindness, compassion, and appreciative joy. This practice explores letting go of any contraction or demands that the heart has accumulated during the strengthening of our connections with others. By releasing our expectations and efforts to control, we find the heart opening more fully to others and to life itself. Together we will explore what equanimity is, what it isn’t, and how to strengthen it. This event includes a Friday night meditation and talk from 7-8:30 PM and a Saturday morning retreat from 9:00-12:30; events can be taken separately or together.
